Presale - Huichol Art - Marakame

We have created this section thanks to our and our most special collectors, friends and friends who have accompanied us all this time in Marakame.

The aim is that they can choose their favorite pieces from this collection before it is open to the public.

The Tlalchichi, which means floor dog or land dog, is a small breed of dog, and its head is out of proportion to the rest of the body and its broad belly is close to the ground. References to this breed have come from colimota ceramics, to Teotihuacán murals and Zapotec ceramics. It is a Mexican breed that is currently considered extinct.

This special selection of Oaxacan Alebrije that now represents the Tlalchichi dogs, is hand painted on a wood carving of the copal tree (Bursera Glabrifolia), which grows around the community of San Martín Tilcajete, where the authors are located. from this special collection, Jacobo and María Ángeles, in the Zapotec region of the State of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico.
